Professor Shlomo Biderman is the President of the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo (MTA). Prior to joining MTA, Prof. Biderman worked at Tel-Aviv University, where he served in many leadership positions. Prof. Biderman is a prolific scholar of Indian and comparative philosophy. Prof. Biderman also served on several committees of the Israeli Council for Higher Education and of the Israel Science Foundation. At MTA, Prof. Biderman pioneered the model of a New Academia that builds relevant and inclusive knowledge for the 21st century.

Liat Weiss-Shahaf is a senior resource development specialist with over 15 years of experience working for leading NGOs and philanthropic organisations in Israel. Weiss-Shahaf joined MTA in 2007. Weiss-Shahaf is a leading entrepreneur, playing a key role in the application of the New Academia model at MTA. She directs the College’s fundraising initiatives and academic collaborations in Israel and abroad, through building tri-sector partnerships with public sector agencies, private businesses, and civil society groups. She has been instrumental in the developing some of College’s most innovative programs and projects.
