Thought of the Week with thanks to Avi Teleki. The world is a crazy place. With the current deal with Iran, the unthinkable has now become a reality. How can we continue when it appears our enemies are becoming stronger and more hostile? This week’s parsha contains the answers. Moshe prepares the Jews to enter Israel. He tells them even though you are going to possess your G-d given land, it’s not going to be easy, there will be giants, nations even stronger than yourselves. However, don’t be afraid, Hashem will destroy them. The battles our ancestors faced are the same ones we face today. With faith and trust in Hashem, Yeshoshua led our people to victory and with our ongoing unequivocal commitment to Hashem’s ways, may we merit Moshiach to bring us out of golus and have the ultimate victory with the Third Beis Hamikdosh!
